What Best-Sellers.org actually collects today.
Last updated: 15 August 2026.
Who we are
Best-Sellers.org is an independent scoreboard website. Contact: the form at /contact/.
What we collect
- Server logs — standard web logs (IP address, user agent, requested path, time) used for security and operations.
- First-party analytics — hashed session and IP fingerprints, path, coarse device category, and referrer host. We do not store contact-message bodies or passwords in analytics.
- Keyword-network analytics — this site participates in a shared keyword-site pageview and search-reporting system used across our network. That system records page path and search queries for reporting, not for selling personal profiles.
- Contact tickets — if you submit the contact form, your message and email are stored in the shared ticket system so we can reply. Do not send passwords or payment details.
- Admin sessions — administrators have accounts. Session cookies are HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax.
Cookies
We use a first-party session cookie for CSRF protection and admin login, a network session cookie when the keyword-site bridge is available, and an optional analytics opt-out cookie. Advertising cookies are not activated as intrusive units in this architecture step. If Google AdSense is later enabled for this domain through the network setting, that vendor’s cookies and privacy terms will apply and this page will be updated to match what is actually running.
Advertising
Ad positions exist in the layout architecture. They are not filled with deceptive product cards. Network ads remain off unless the established integration later serves them. We do not invent ad performance numbers.
Retention
Analytics events are intended to be retained on the order of 400 days, then purged. Server logs follow ordinary hosting rotation. Contact tickets are kept as long as needed to handle the request.
Your choices
You can use browser controls to block cookies. Global Privacy Control (Sec-GPC) is treated as an analytics opt-out. You may email us via the contact form to ask about a ticket you submitted.
Children
This site is a general product-information scoreboard and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we add accounts, payments, SMS, or new third parties, we will update this page to describe what is actually implemented — not hypothetical features.
